Ocean Network Express, Mercu Maybank, Shah Alam
A workspace shaped by maritime heritage and a sense of journey.
An 11,100 sqft Malaysia headquarters for Ocean Network Express in Shah Alam, set within a building shaped like a ship’s bow. The design carries that sense of journey and purpose through the whole office, from a Japanese wave motif on the meeting room glass to a boardroom modelled on a maritime command centre.
Project highlights
- The design theme is waves, echoing ONE’s core business on the water, starting with the rippled ceiling and floor in the lobby.
- Magenta, ONE’s own brand colour, runs through the office alongside Japanese design touches that nod to the company’s roots.
- Reception, the boardroom and the pantry were designed as the spaces that make the strongest impression.
- A fun, collaborative process from start to finish, with the client closely involved in shaping the design story.
